Allen was always a "guys " guy , after school years at North I would see him at the race track , after he moved to Missouri we spoke on the phone , usually about the best places to go in south Texas for the winter , he will be missed ....Jim Henry

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!! , SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY WE WERE RUNNING THE PLAYGROUND AT WACO ELEMENTARY ,
Rick was the first kid I met in the neighborhood when we moved here from Texas in 1956 , we lived 2 houses apart on north Waco and spent many summers and school years running around , always sports after school , hanging out at the Drugstore/malt shop on the corner of 18th playing pin ball , sneaking out after curfew just to prove "the man " couldn't control us , had a million laughs doing dumb stuff , his older brother Fred was cool on a level that was way upthere , and Fred smoked these tiny cigars called Tiparillos , Rick would sneak one Tiparillo out every few days so Fred wouldn't notice and when we went out walking the neighborhood after curfew we would light up "just to add to our rebellion " of the rules , we'd shoot baskets till dark on his rickity backboard/hoop in the driveway while Fred and his buddies worked on whatever old beater car one of them had bought for 25 dollars or so , time flew by and everbody went their own way , we all are probably thinking , I wish I had the opportunity to just say "HI" to Rick just one more time .......
