Went to work for Cessna Aircraft in November of '64-Got drafted in November of '65. I spent a year at Fort Riley Kansas and another one in Viet Nam.
When I got out of the Army,I went back to Cessna. It was weird- like I never left,but somewhere had lost a couple of years. ( I made up for those later. )
Got married in '72. Two daughters- one in '74 another in '77. ( = Six grandkids )
Restored a few old cars, a house and a boat, I'm still riding motorcycles.( I'd love to have that '58 BSA lightning I had when in HS )
I stayed with Cessna for a total of 44 ( LORD! ) years,mostly in master scheduling and production control. Retired August of '08- Healthy & happy- no regrets. Now- If I could just loose that extra 40 pounds I'm carrying around,I'd be as tough as I ever was................

In my senior year,I borrowed Rocky Crownover's '56 Chevy- cut a class ( not unusual ) and ended up having a collision with the police chief's niece at Douglas & Vine. It wasn't easy facing Rocky at the end of the day.... Later that year we ended up driving that same car into the little Arkansas river. (This time-HE was at the wheel )
